Peter Nørregaard
Rasmussen
founder and owner, Asia Base Research
With a BSc. degree in Electrical Engineering Peter began his business career
in China in 1988, serving as the China sales and marketing manager for a large
multinational corporation. Upon receiving his MBA in marketing from National
Taiwan University, Peter went on to establish Asia Base in 1994. He has since
advised many hundred foreign companies on China market entry and strategy.
Peter is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has lived in China with his
family for more than 20 years. He currently holds board member positions in six
foreign-invested companies in China. Peter was nominated for “Businessman of the
Year?by the Danish Chamber of Commerce in 2007 for his outstanding
contributions to development of Danish businesses in China.
Peter
specializes in providing strategic advice to top level decision makers regarding
China-market entry and marketing strategies, focusing on how to handle emerging
competition from fast-growing Chinese competitors.

Lars Jakob Nielsen
managing director,

With a BSc. in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration, Lars
brings 20 years of experience in product development, market research, sales and
marketing management, and general management, to Asia Base Research.
Lars resides in China with his wife and two daughters. Before joining
Asia Base Research he worked six years as General Manager of a multinational
company in the process control industry and was directly responsible for sales
and marketing in Northern Europe. Besides managing Asia Base Research, Lars also
holds board positions in three foreign-invested companies in China.
Lars
provides advice on product strategy, market entry and market development
opportunities in mainland China. He can also provide detailed explanations of
how Asia Base Research services can be customized to your company’s specific
needs.

The Asia Base Research team comprises more than 20 fulltime, highly skilled and experienced individuals from China, Europe, and North America.
Members of the core research teams are native Chinese and hold masters and bachelor degrees in engineering, technical and natural sciences, international trade, marketing, and business administration.
Ad hoc project teams are formed according to the specific requirements of each project. A dedicated project manager is assigned to oversee each project from launch to conclusion. The project teams follow Asia Base Research’s strict methodologies, which place emphasis on objective, qualitative research conducted in a client-minded way.
Continuous personal and group-oriented development of our employees is an
